Victualic has designed a new mechanical joining system for HDPE pipe used in mining operations. Mining operations see cost and material advantages in using HDPE pipes versus metal. HDPE pipe properties, like its flexibility, abrasion resistance, and temperature ranges, make it an ideal solution in mining environments.
The new Victaulic mechanical joining system overcomes issues like surface contamination, poor weather, and other environmental conditions. The joining system is designed for direct bury applications and can be installed using simple hand tools on plain end pipe up to 14”. The Victaulic couplings can be installed up to 10 times faster than fusing, provide joints that can be visually verified, reduce costs, and can be installed in all weather conditions.
